Hello guys!
We started our day in Tasmania and then we took the early boat back to the main land and then we bought a car. Vi took the car to Alice Springs and hired a hotelroom with a beautiful view over the city. After we arrived it was time for lunch so we decided to take a walk to the store, we bought fruit and berries.
We walked to a park nearby and sat down on a blanket and ate, just enjoying life with our beautiful nature and warm climate. We just sat there för a while but suddenly we heard a girl scream. We both looked up and tried to see who it was. We saw two figures in the water and one was suddenly under the water and the other one was in chocked.
Samuels first reaction was to jump in the water and save the girl. So, he took his shirt of and ran down to the lake.
We heard the other girl scream and Samuel swam out to her and pulled her up and swam back.
When she was safe and felt alive again she and her friend came over to us and asked us something about a party.
We thought it sounded like a good idea to spend our last day that way.
So we packed our bags and went back to the hotel, it had been an event full day that hadn't reached it's end yet!

After an hour we met in the hotel lobby (Me & Samuel)
We went outside and stopped a taxi, we said the adress the girls had given us.
We both looked through the window and saw Alice Springs slowly disappear, I started to wonder where we was going.
The cab driver gave us a drink and said it was warm outside so we should drink, wse both drank it and didn't think more about it. Suddenly everything became black and we fell alseep in the backseat of a cab.

When I woke up it was warm and we sat tied up against a stonewall. I felt so thirsty and my head hurt very much.
The last thing I remembered was drinking that water the cab driver gave us, where was he? And where was the cab?
Samuel sat next to me but he was asleep and I just sat there, thinking and wondering.
A loud noise came closer and closer, Samuel woke up and started screaming. I asked him to be quiet and watch, there was a helicopter that the noise came from. It landed next to us and two men jumped out. Both dressed as police men. They asked us to realx and told us we were safe now. Me and SAmuel just looked at eachother and asked why we was tied up. They said that it was the only way to get us safe. "Safe from what?" we asked. They didn't tell us. They lifted us up in the helicopter and untied us. We just sat there and watched down as we came higher up.
When we sat there in the helicopter surrounded by police men we felt safe, but we didn't know from what.
We flew by a giant stone, one of the police men saw how we looked down at it. He said "It's Ayer's Rock"
He told us that It's 500 milion years old and was 3,5km long. It's an old mountain that looks like an rock. It was discovered by a man called William Gosse. It's also known as Uluru. They natives called it    that and used it as a place for ceremonies, they still use it as that today. Inside the "rock" there is plenty of plants and animals."   '

We became very interested by it but we flew away from it very fast so we didn't see it for very long.

Hello again! Here to give you some updates!;)

We didn't sleep very good that night, we only had a blanket to sleep on.The ground was hard and our backs was hurting but we had to get up. They talked to us, but we couldn't understand them. So they tied us up and forced us to a path in the jungle, they were pointing spears against us but we wasn't tied up anymore. We thought it was a test, if we made it they would accept us. We stopped at some point in the jungle and w few of them dissapeared out in the woods. They came back after a while, in their hands they had bugs and some fruit. It was breakfest time!
We tast some of it, but we didn't even touch the bugs or worms. Atleast they was friendly at that moment. When we had eaten up we went to the canoe, there was 5 canoes out on the river. We paddled for about twenty minutes then we were in a swamp. They were fishing and we just sat there for around 2-3 hours. Suddenly Samuel decided to stand up and stretch. It all happend so fast, he fell in to the river and the natives screamed "crocodile" several times. My first instinct was to reach for a spear and kill that bastard (crocodile). I could hear Samuel scream and trying to get up on the canoe, I threw the spear with all my power against that poor animal.
(There is many different species, the smallest crocodile is around 1,5m and the biggest is 5,5m. It's usually grey, green or brown in it's colours. They eat everything alive, if it's in the right size. But some species does even eat humans because they can us as a trade too.)

The aboriginals hada fearsome look in their eyes. The crocodile survived but swam away as fast as he could and I got Samuel up in the boat again. We both were in chock and all we could hear was our breathing. The aboriginals was screaming at us, they wanted to take us back to the village. We failed the test.
We went back immediately, the leader heard about what we did and he started talking. They found a man that helped us translate and the leader wanted to execute us immediately, they locked us in a tent. We sat there inside a cold and dark tent, we both was tied up so we couldn't move at all. We just sat there waiting to die. Suddenly it eas very bright and the sun was right in our faces, we heard someone talk to us and tie us up. We couldn't see the face because the sun was blocking it but we were free and he told us to run back to the jungle. We ran and went for our bag , when we came to the bag we heard people behind us so we grabbed our bag with our id's and ran back to the beach. We got out of the jungle and tried to gain control over our breathing as fast as we could. We drank a little and started walking back to the harbour. That day was too much for us, when we got to the harbour we went in to a little store and bought some food. It tasted delicious and we drank very much water after that. We found a hotel and decided to spend the night there. It was wonderful to shower and sleep in a real bed after the things that happend in the jungle...

Good morning!
We woke up and the sun was shining. Our freinds was alredy up and hade taken a walk. They wanted to go back to the main land, and party. But we wanted to stay on the island and relax, we wanted to take a chill day on the beach and meet some other animals. We really liked the kangaroo so we wanted to see another one out in the wild.
But... Later we realised that we should've followed them back to the main land. We went around the island for a while and looked for an kangaroo, it didn't go so well.

We walked to a waterfall, it was so goregud! And the ater was so pure and we could amost drink it. We decided to swim and set up a fire and eat. We ate some fruit and drank water while we looked at the beautiful nature Australia has to offer! The timewent so fast and it was soon evening. We wanted to set up our camp here, it was close to the beach and it was in the jungle near water so we could take a swim in the morning. What we didn't know when we sat there next to the fireplace, listening to music and enjoying life was some natives were watching us and planning to kidnap us.

We went to bed after a while and when we were only a few second away from sleeping we heard something and the ground started to shake. Was it an eathquake? It wasn't, it was a kangaroo that attacked us (They can be very violent if someone pisses them off) and it jumped right on our tent, it was crushed by it's weight. We were okay but without a tent, alone in the jungle in Australia in the middle of the night...
We sat there near the waterfall for around an hour or two when we suddenly heard some noises from the jungle. We stood up and looked around, but the noises came from everywhere but we couldn't see anything.
After a minute or two we saw a light in the jungle, from a torch we guessed. Suddenly it was light everywhere, we both screamed when we saw who/what was holding it. They were tall, black and had weird paintings all over them. They stared at us with big eyes and they just stood there and surrounded us.
They startad to walk towards us, we got the creeps as closer they got. We couldn't move because we were so frigthened (Sp) and they were so many moore than us, we were out numbered. The leader had a big hat on his head and hold a torch next to his face. He had so many scars and his skin was painted pale. He looked like a cold blooded murderer and his eyes was icy.
Suddenly we felt someone tie us,they pushed us out in the jungle and showed us the way. It was cold and dark and the only thing we saw was some thorches. We got to their village and they were realy intrested in us, they touched us and looked at us. They were wondering what kind of clothes we had and what we did in Australia. We didn't understand them so we didn't understand what they wanted. And they didn't understand us either.
They poked us and I thought they were going to eat us but suddenly a man came out and started talking to the people. We just sat there, wondering what would happen.
Two men came and showed us to a tent, he pushed us in and locked it from the outside. We fall asleep, knowing we were now prisoners in a strange village with no knowledge at all about the language.

Good evening everyone, we're back! ;)
This is our first day in Australia and we're already in love with this country.
Our day started wonderful and the first thing you saw when you opened your eyes was the sun.
We woke up around nine o'clock and took the elevator down to the hotel-lobby.
We decided to eat breakfast at the hotel. When we sat down at the table everything felt good, we had the most amazing view over the ocean and beach. The perfect start at the morning!

Our breakfast wasn't so special but we didn't care so much because the view and the temperature were perfect.
After breakfast we decided to walk down to the harbor and meet the couple from the cab yesterday.
When we arrived at the harbor we saw the couple and we walked up to them. We talked a little bit and then stepped on board the boat. The water was crystal clear and the sun was shining brightly when we started the engine.

Avida and Catelynn sat on the deck and drank wine while Samuel and Thomas talked about Tasmania.

Thomas told us that he and Catelynn grew up in Australia so they knew alot of it. He told us that Tasmanias capital is Hobart and it's one of Australias oldest cities.Thomas told us that in the 1800's whaling was very popular in Tasmania, we thought it was terrible and horrifying to hear about it. Because it's a very sensitive subject in Sweden, we doesn't appreciate animal cruelty.
When we said that he decided to tell us about the tasmanian devil. Ofcourse it's not a demon from hell, it's an carnivorous wombat. Its fur is black with some white spots, it has a big head and small body. It's endangered soThomas tells us we will be very lucky if we see one!

When we arrived at the harbour we decided to take the car down to the beach and set up camp there and take a swim in the sea. So we put on our swimsuits and went for a swim. In the water we saw wonderful fishes with so many different colours and sizes. It was so amazing but a bit scary when they swam near your legs or feet.
After our experiance in the water we went up on the beach and drank a bottle of cold CocaCola. It was almost 30 degrees in the sun so it was very refreshing with a cold drink! <3
We changed clothes and got in the car with Catelynn and Thomas, they didn't tell us where we were going.
When Thomas stopped the car we looked outside the window and saw a big sign saying "Welcome to Trowunna WildLife Park!".
"Hey look! We are at a Animal park!" Was the first thing I heard when I stepped out of the car. Samuel was really exited about it!
The entrance to the park cost $22/adult but It's totally worth it, you even get kangaroo food so you can feed them.
Inside the park It was an exotic enviroment and alot of different animals. The first thing we did was feeding the kangaroo. It's around 1,8 meteres tall and it weights around 9oKg and it had big ears and a very small head. The kangaroo is usually awake at night and dawn and they are good swimmers and jumpers.
On our way back to the car we looked around, we saw some trees and other things. But one thing was a bit special and we saw it in one of the threes. It was a koala in one of the trees!
A koala lives in the trees and its weight is around 5-12kg and it's aroung 80cm tall. It has a big black nose and a big head with fluffy ears, it's grey and white in its colour. And it was soooo damn cute!
After the animalpark we took the car back to our camp, we sat down in a ring around the fire and watched the stars, we fell asleep under the stars that night.

When Thomas told us about the Tasmanian Devil we decided to google it and found this video in youtube! It's so cute and It sounds so funny... (It's not our video!!)

Hey guys!
My name is Avida and my friend Samuel. We are going to create a blog as a project in English class. Let's call it "Australian blog".

"Right now we are in our hotelroom", we are going to tell you about our first day.

We left Arlanda airport in Sweden around 19:00 in swedish time. And arrived at Sydney airport around 12 hours later, we changed airplane three times!

When we arrived in Sydney it was sunny and alot of people at the aiport, the first thing we did was picking up our luggage. We found a taxi but something special happend in it. We had to share it with two other people, it was a couple and they were very polite and nice! On our way to the hotel we talked to the couple and we found out they would take their boat to Tasmania tomorrow and they invited us!
A few minutes after that we arrived at the hotel.
We checked in and went up to our rooms, we took a shower and changed clothes. It's really sunny in Australia if compared with Sweden.
After that we met in the lobby and walked downtown, we found a resturant that looked fine!

So here we are now in the hotel again. We are going to bed soon, it's really exhausting to sit on a airplane for 12 hours...

Godnight everybody!
